The first 15 kilometers from Bel Ombre are a wonderful landscapes. The next part of this idyllic route will take you on a loop around "Le Morne", with a succession of ascents from Chamarel to the Black River Gorges National Park with Black River Peak.

The start is in the magnificent grounds of the Château de Bel Ombre. During the first 15 km to Le Morne, take time to warm up while enjoying the picture-postcard scenery: lagoon and white sandy beaches on the horizon. A series of climbs follow around the world-famous peak of Le Morne, overlooking the lagoon from all sides. The climbs build up to the Parakeet Trail, known for its technicality, passing Ebony Forest, Chamarel and the island's highest point: Piton de la Rivière Noire (828m).

Before tackling the last 50 km, the passage to Piton Paille en Queue will offer you a haven of freshness and greenery to recharge your batteries. With the hardest part behind you, a final ascent to the Tourelle de Tamarin offers incredible panoramic views, with Le Morne in your sights, the landmark for your arrival. But before that, you'll have to cross 7 different chassés. Keep your eyes peeled for deer!

The last 6 kilometers will be a healthy stroll along the lagoon and onto the final beach of Le Morne, where the finish line will be set up. Now you can enjoy the incredible beaches of Mauritius to the full.

Medical certificate

If you don't have a national running licence, you must provide a valid medical certificate (One year) which is required to validate your registration. If your certificate is not validated before first june 2024, your registration will not be validated and will therefore be automatically cancelled. No refund will be offered in compensation.
