Bib number collection will be in the exhibitors' village
- on Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 (20K/50K/100K/100M)
- and on Saturday from 7.00am to 8.30am (50K),
- and from 8.30am to 12pm (20K).
However, on Sunday for the 20K race, bib numbers can still be collected at the Morne beach at Le Morne beach from 7.30am to 9.30am. We strongly advise you to collect your race numbers on Friday or Saturday. All information will be available in the exhibitors' village on the weekend of the event.
Each bib is issued individually to each runner on presentation of photo ID. The bib must be worn on the chest or stomach and must be visible at all times throughout the race. It must therefore be worn above all clothing at all times and must never be attached to a bag or leg. The runner's name and partner logo must not be altered or hidden. The race bib is the necessary pass for access to the organization's transport, feed stations, infirmaries, rest rooms, showers, bag drop-off and pick-up areas... The bib is never removed, but in the event of abandonment a corner will be cut off.
First-aid posts are set up at various points along the course. These posts are linked with race HQ and medical HQ. A medical regulation team is present at race headquarters or on the course for the duration of the event. First-aid posts are intended to provide assistance to anyone in need of medical help.
It is the responsibility of any runner in difficulty or seriously injured to call for help:
- By going to an aid station.
- By calling the medical headquarters.
- By asking another runner to call for help.
- By using the SOS function of the LiveTrail application.
Each runner must assist any person in danger and notify the emergency services. If you are unable to reach the medical headquarters, and only in the event of an absolute emergency, you may you can call the emergency services directly (especially if you are in an area where only you are in an area where only emergency calls are possible). Hazards of all kinds, environment and the race, you may have to wait longer than expected for help. Your safety will then depend on the quality of the equipment you've packed in your bag.
All medical, paramedical, first-aid and official guide personnel, as well as any person designated by race management are empowered to:
- Disqualify any competitor deemed unfit to continue the race.
- Require any competitor to use any compulsory equipment.
- Evacuate any runners they deem to be in danger.
- Refer patients to the most appropriate medical facility.
A competitor who calls on the services of a doctor or first-aider submits to their authority and agrees to accept their decisions and agrees to accept their decisions. As soon as a rider's state of health warrants treatment by means of an intravenous infusion, he/she will be disqualified from the race. An infirmary will be available at the finish for runners with serious medical problems. Comfort care is subject to the discretion of the medical staff and subject to their availability. All runners must stay on the marked route, even when sleeping. Any runner who wilfully strays from the marked path is no longer under the responsibility of the organisation.
- Buses are available from certain feed stations marked with a “bus” pictogram on the passage boards, to bring back to the finish area.
- Runners who drop out at another aid or refreshment station but whose state of health does not require evacuation, must return as quickly as possible to the nearest aid station providing a bus by their own means.
In the case of aid stations accessible by car or 4x4 :
- When the aid station closes, the organization may, within the limits of available resources, repatriate runners who have abandoned and are still present at the station.
- In the event of unfavorable weather conditions justifying the partial or total stoppage of the race, the organization will repatriate the riders who have stopped as quickly as possible. The weather can be difficult, so you'll need to be vigilant:
- Anticipate cold and humidity as well as extreme heat. In Mauritius, it's often in the upper reaches of the Black River Gorges National Park, and at night, with the wind and cold, it's best to be well equipped.
- Don't wait until you're shivering before covering up.
The Mauritius by UTMB races are wilderness races with isolated sections (certain points of the road network, telecommunication...). We advise you to have a recharged cell phone with a connection to the local network, so that you can call Race HQ or the medical service in the event of a problem: **N° PC Course : +23028147852 N° PC Médical : +230 54 74 28 37 **

- During the race, there will be rest areas at some aid stations, with cots (in limited numbers) and blankets. Please note that runners who have finished their race and wish to extend their stay must have their own accommodation. It's dangerous to sleep alone in the wilderness. Our 4 races pass through nearly 20 private properties that are only accessible during the races. Please do not train on these properties before the event. Download them at the last moment in case there's a last-minute course change.

All runners who give up, are stopped by the organization or are late in relation to the official time barriers are not authorized to continue the race.Their race number will be cut off, and they will be taken back to the event area by the organization's transport.
Solid and liquid refreshments along the route. Refreshment stations are stocked with drinks and food to be consumed on site.
